Draft for review: this document is a working draft and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how Applyd works today, in plain language.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

This policy explains what information Applyd collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we share it only with the services that power specific features, and we do not sell your data or run ads.

1. What we collect

  • Account: your email address and a password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form; we never see the password itself).
  • Profile: anything you add in Settings: your name, email signature, and your resume or background text.
  • Job search data: the applications you track (company, role, dates, status, notes), interview dates, generated drafts you choose to save, and your interview prep sheets including your answers to the prep questions.
  • Usage counts: how many AI drafts, recruiter lookups, and prep sheets you have used each month, to enforce plan limits.
  • Payment status: your subscription plan and Stripe customer reference. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
  • Waitlist: if you join the waitlist, just your email address.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The only cookies Applyd sets are the ones that keep you signed in.

2. How your information is used

To run Applyd for you: storing your job search data, drafting emails, building prep sheets, enforcing usage limits, processing payments, and emailing you about your account (for example, confirmation emails). We may also email the waitlist when Applyd opens up.

3. The services that power Applyd

Applyd is built on a small set of providers, each receiving only what its feature needs:

  • Supabase hosts our database and sign-in. Your account and job search data live here, protected so that each user can only access their own rows.
  • Anthropic provides the AI. When you use an AI feature, the relevant content (job details, notes, your resume text, prep answers) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the result. Interview prep can also run web searches on the company and interviewer names you provide.
  • Hunter.io powers recruiter lookups (Pro). When you run a lookup, the company domain you confirmed (and, if you use the by-name search, the name you typed) is sent to Hunter to find publicly listed business contacts.
  • Stripe handles payments. Your card details are entered on Stripe's pages and stored by Stripe, not by us.

We do not sell your information to anyone.

4. About recruiter contact information

Recruiter lookups return business contact details about people who are not Applyd users, sourced by Hunter.io from publicly available information on the web. Applyd shows those results to you for your own individual job search outreach and does not keep its own database of them. If you are a recruiter whose details appeared in a lookup and you want them removed at the source, Hunter.io operates a removal process at hunter.io; you can also contact us and we will help.

5. How long we keep things, and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, email naiadllc@gmail.com from your account email and we will delete your account, applications, profile, prep sheets, and usage records. Payment records held by Stripe are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. To leave the waitlist, email us and we will remove your address.

6. Security

Every user's data is isolated with database-level access rules, AI and lookup calls happen only on our servers with keys that are never sent to the browser, and payment pages are hosted by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but the service is built so that the sensitive pieces never pass through your browser or other users' hands.

7. Children

Applyd is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app or by email.
